Style Food - The Courtyard

A dinner party was had for my good friends who got engaged. We were at THE COURTYARD, here in Aberdeen, located on a very quaint cobbled lane (1, Alford Lane) in the West End.

The food was generally well received by everyone; we were about 20; the service was faultless and our meals came on time but with enough of an interval to allow for chats in between.

Oh and the best part was there's a private room upstairs to accommodate a noisy bunch...which of course we were :)

I'd go again. Definitely.

We were given these haggis balls with cream, all on the house...very interesting taste...still on the fence about that one

Taste buds were pleased :)

The scallops starter...that sauce at the bottom was the star of the entire production

Aaaaaah the steak and chunky fries...my choice, always and forever

That's how you do a salmon dish...this right here...was impeccable

Was a bit too sweet for me but my unrepentantly cavity-filled sister thought it was the bees knees. There you go...

That cheesecake was sinfully delicious

Adam is a picture of style; caught him off for a night out on Union Street.

Very clean. Very right now. Menswear at it's coolest. Applause all around :)

Style Home - Colour Block My Home? Why Not?

Certainly not for everyone but I personally LOVE colourful homes. They just bring out the playful little rug-rat (pun intended) in me.

Fabulous interiors bursting with all the zesty colours under the sun are my thing, and I'm sharing...just in case anyone was looking to do up your home space.

I'm focusing on the living room for now and depending on feedback, I can keep it up with ideas for other rooms in later posts...deal?

It looks a bit "Autin Powers" but I still would :)

So I went on a hunt locally and found some versions available in Aberdeen. This sofa is from STERLING FURNITURE and is called the Jester Sofa...love it!

STERLING also has this tres cool and functional Ottoman; comes in purple, green, black and white as well so why not get two colours to add to the fun?

I was walking along Rosemount Place yesterday and saw this beautiful display at the window of THE DESIGN HOUSE. I'm so drawn to that vase, it actually featured in my dream last night, no kidding!

Street Style - Dotted and Spotted

I'm partial to polka dots. They work a vintage magic to every outfit. So when I spotted Steph, beautifully dotted from head to knee, well...I had to click away.

I went looking for a similar skirt and found one for a steal of a price (£7.99) at karmaclothing . If you're feeling a bit more "spendy" or would prefer a longer length, here's a maxi version I found for £42 on asos.

Street Style - The Daytime LBD

Perfect little black dress with leather trimmings (from Zara) for daytime trendiness; can be easily transformed into night time glam.

The pop of red pumps and the classy Louis Vuitton tote make give this look a ten. Out of ten of course :)
